One fine morning, Aishwarya contacted me through Instagram about her wedding look. And I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that she was already a celebrity star singer by then, and without anybody referring to me, she just chose to have faith in me through my work seen on Instagram. It was unbelievable!
She got married to popular music director Shreyas Puranik at JW Marriott. However, we met before her wedding to discuss her dream look for the Myra ceremony. Myra is a ritual in which the bride’s maternal uncle gives gifts to the bride’s family blessing them to have a brighter future together. The celebration of this custom is really exciting and entertaining. There are musical and dance acts.
Aishwarya had chosen an enchanting outfit for this ceremony. She showed me the pictures of her costume, but we did not go through trials or decide the exact look beforehand.
She just told me that she wanted flawless and subtle makeup. I am glad that she completely trusted me and let me do my work freely.
“The Day” arrived, and I dolled up my queen into an airbrush makeup. It was all according to her wish, how she wanted to keep it flawless, yet natural. However, we took some deep efforts for her hairstyle and specially chose ‘hairstyle butterflies’ for her, which enhanced her subtle, yet beautiful look.
Dolling up Aishwarya was really special for me, as it took my skills and my work to places. Now, i can officially called myself Celebrity Makeup Artist. I got to meet many renowned singers at her wedding like Suresh Wadkar. Aishwarya loved my work so much that she has specially recorded a review video for me available on my Instagram feed. She also chose her photo from this look to be the cover photo of one of her best albums, “Mehendi Mashup“. Wedding Sutra covered this look and it was indeed a very satisfying work!
